Joe, his wife Lyn and their three boys moved to Novato in 2003 to help start the Quest. Joe is our primary teacher and our “navigator” on this spiritual journey where we aim to not only tell, but to actually be good news to people in our community.
Originally from the East Coast, Joe went to seminary in Minneapolis and started churches in Minnesota and Indiana before coming to Novato. Joe and Lyn feel like they were made for Novato, and their move here feels like coming home to them. Joe loves motorcycling and hanging out with friends and family around Novato and West Marin.
David was involved with music at an early age learning to play the piano and organ. During his college days at the University of the Philippines, he was a hardcore punk rock drummer and bass player. He later became worship leader and youth group leader at Park Presidio Bible Church in SF. In 2004 he plugged himself and his bass guitar into the Quest. He became Music Director in 2009.
He is also involved at the Quest as the Administrative Director, supporting Joe and the staff.
He and his wife Christine have 3 children. He enjoys paintball, video games, a good round of golf, and occasionally creates extreme cakes.
Christine grew up in Chicago, attended school at the University of the Philippines, and has lived in Australia, Seattle and San Francisco.
She has worked with children for many years, including several years as a youth group leader and nursery caregiver at Park Presidio Bible church in San Francisco, eight years at YMCA's Childwatch center in San Rafael, and a brief time as a children's leader for Bible Study Fellowship International. Christine started out as a volunteer at Kids’ Quest in 2004 before she became co-director in 2007. She took on the full-time position of director in 2008.
She lives in Novato with her husband, David, who leads the Quest's worship team, and their three children.
Marty Regis has been working with Joe Everly since the beginning of the Quest in 2004, when there was no permanent location. She would help with a range of administrative tasks from her home and meet with Joe at his “office” in Starbucks. As the Quest has grown, not only does she now work from the church office, her role has grown, too. Her primary duties include assisting the finance team by overseeing the church finances and also providing administrative support to the staff and leadership team.
Marty says her life is wild and wonderful with her and husband Andrew’s three teenage children in the house. Previously from Seattle, Marty still likes rain, the Mariners and the Seahawks. She has taught all levels of high school and middle school math, and she continues to tutor. She is thankful for the support and growth she has experienced at the Quest.
Suzie has been around the Quest from the very beginning and has filled a range of volunteer roles, including leading Community Groups (an on-going passion for both her and her husband, Scott). She joined the staff as Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor in 2006 and also provides office support for special projects and other ministries here at the Quest. Suzie’s professional background includes various administrative and customer service positions.
With a degree in PE from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Suzie still keeps active, playing on co-ed soccer and softball teams. She and Scott have two daughters, both in college.
