Quest Staff & Leadership

Joe Everly - Senior Pastor

Joe and Lyn and their three sons moved to Novato in 2003 to help start the Quest.  All three sons, Joe Jr., Hayden, and Noah graduated from San Marin High School and still live in the area either working or going to school or both.  Lyn works in San Francisco, commuting into the city by bus every day.

Originally from the East Coast, Joe attended seminary in Minneapolis and helped to start or restart two churches in Minnesota and Indiana before coming to Novato. Joe and Lyn love Novato.   After 10 years, Marin County has become home to the Everlys and they hope to remain in Marin for many years to come.

David Reyes - Admin Director and Music Director

David was involved with music at an early age learning to play the piano and organ.  During his college days at the University of the Philippines, he was a hardcore punk rock drummer and bass player.  He later became worship leader and youth group leader at Park Presidio Bible Church in SF.  In 2004 he plugged himself and his bass guitar into the Quest. He became Music Director in 2009 and full-time Admin Director in 2014 supporting Joe and the staff.

He and his wife Christine live in Novato and have 3 children who sometimes help out with the Quest Worship Team.  David likes do-it-yourself car projects and enjoys a good (sometimes not so good) round of golf.

Christine Reyes - Kids' Quest Director

Christine grew up in Chicago, attended school at the University of the Philippines, and has lived in Australia, Seattle and San Francisco. She has worked with children for many years, including several years as a youth group leader and nursery caregiver at Park Presidio Bible Church in San Francisco, eight years at YMCA's Childwatch center in San Rafael, and a brief time as children's leader for Bible Study Fellowship International.

Christine started out as a volunteer at Kids’ Quest in 2004 before she became co-director in 2007 and full-time director in 2008.

She and her husband David live in Novato and have two children in college and one in middle school.

Christine’s favorite things to tuck into are a fat medieval historical novel, bowling, zumba, spending time with her family and a fancy slice of cake.

Franco MeoliYouth Director

Franco was born in Jersey and began working with kids as a storyteller at a day camp.  He also worked for 6 years as an afterschool program coordinator for the YMCA.

No stranger to hard work, he became a union iron worker.  He moved to California in 2011 and began volunteering with the youth at the Quest. He feels amazingly blessed to have the opportunity to work for the Quest as Youth Director.  You can regularly catch Franco hanging with his two young boys, along with the youth of Novato.

Marty Regis - Office Manager

Marty Regis has been working with Joe Everly since the beginning of the Quest in 2004, when there was no permanent location. She would help with a range of administrative tasks from her home and meet with Joe at his “office” in Starbucks. As the Quest has grown, not only does she now work from the church office, her role has grown, too. Her primary duties include assisting the finance team by overseeing the church finances and also providing administrative support to the staff and leadership team.

Previously from Seattle, Marty still likes rain, the Mariners and the Seahawks (but we don't hold it against her!). She has taught all levels of high school and middle school math, and she continues to tutor.  She is thankful for the support and growth she has experienced at the Quest.

Suzie Steinmetz - Administrative Assistant

Suzie has been around the Quest from the very beginning and has filled a variety of volunteer roles.  She joined the staff as Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastor in 2006 and also provides office support for special projects and other ministries here at the Quest. Suzie’s professional background includes various administrative roles in the Novato Unified School District and a customer service position at Autodesk.

She is a local Marin girl, growing up in Greenbrae and graduating from Redwood High School. With a degree in PE from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Suzie still keeps active, playing on the Quest's coed softball team and swimming. She and Scott have been married 27 years and have two daughters; Jessica is a recent grad from University of Oregon, and Kristina is in her 3rd year at Chico State.
